2. Subject Indexes
- Is your topic
in a particular subject area?
If so, use a
subject index. Subject indexes specialize in a particular subject,
and the articles indexed are generally from scholarly sources. Examples
of subject indexes and the kinds of articles they identify are:

Biological Abstracts |
This is an excellent database for conducting research in the life sciences, as well as providing resources for those with biomedical research needs. Produced by BIOSIS, Biological Abstracts contains nearly 8 million citations drawn from over 4,000 foreign and domestic journals and grows by over 5% each year. |
